Wedding at Foxland Harbor 6/4/16

Meanwhile in Gallatin Jocelyn Spouse was leading a quartet for the nuptials of Laurie and Alan.  Once again the timing of the rain was in their favor and the wedding proceeded without a hitch….well except for the two who got hitched that day.  I’d also like to mention Misty Saunders of Finishing Touch Event Design for her able coordinating that day.  Musicians are really dependent on the coordinators to give proper signals and to keep the traffic flowing smoothly.

Laurie chose traditional classics such as Bach’s “Sheep May Safely Graze” for the mothers,  “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” for the bridesmaids and the all time favorite, “Canon in D” by Pachelbel for Laurie’s entrance.  She also had requested “Can’t Help Falling In Love” as the last song played before the processionals began.  Then after the conclusion of the ceremony the quartet sent them back down the aisle to the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love”.

The quartet stayed to play for the cocktail hour with more classic rock tunes.  They were glad to oblige with more Beatles, Beach Boys and Elton John.  The last song played before the call to the reception was “Rocky Top”.  Guess somebody was a UT fan.

Best wishes to Laurie and Alan.  May they have many happy years together!
