Wedding at Ravenswood Mansion 10/14/17

On October 14, 2017 Anna married her sweetheart, Brad, on the ground of Ravenswood Mansion in Brentwood, TN.  We were a trio that day with Sarah Goude of Regalo Design (one of my personal favorites) coordinating.  Anna chose a lovely program of classics with some beautiful songs from the movies such as “Secret Wedding” from Braveheart.  The processionals were traditional with Anna meeting Brad at the altar to the bridal favorite “Canon in D”.  After the vows and rings were exchanged and to help kick off the festivities to follow, we played “Bittersweet Symphony” for the recessional.  Beautiful weather, beautiful bride, my favorite musicians, Susan Mullen and Gary Tussing, and adept coordinating by Sarah, it was a fantastic day.

Congratulations and best wishes to Anna and Brad and their families!

Wedding at Forest Hills UMC 5/6/17

As I was saying, May 6 was a busy day.  While some of us were busy downtown other of us saw to it that Taryn married her sweetheart, Christopher, in a formal ceremony at the Forest Hills United Methodist Church.

Playing classical music for a wedding is like putting on comfortable clothes for us.  The quartet enjoyed playing selections like Vivaldi’s “Spring” and the Bach “Air”.  This time the mothers entered to “Canon in D” – the one usually reserved for the bride – while the bridesmaids entered to “Jesu”.  Taryn chose “Trumpet Voluntary” played by the organist for her entrance.  The newlyweds returned up the aisle to Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March”.

I want to mention the coordinators here – Sarah and Damon Goude of Regalo Design.  We know our part will go flawlessly when we have good coordinators calling the shots and this wedding was no exception.

Now it’s time to congratulate Taryn, Christopher and their families and wish them all the happiness in the world.
