7/14/18 Wedding in Murfreesboro

On the morning of July 14, 2018 Asheton married Aaron at his mother’s home in Murfreeboro.  The ceremony took place on a veranda overlooking a lovely pool complete with fountains.  The little flower girl took her job very seriously, bending over to place each petal carefully in the aisle….until her mother scooped her up so we all could get on with the bridal entrance and ceremony.  Asheton and Aaron included a hand wrapping unity ceremony where the minister wrapped their clasped hands with a white scarf, said a prayer over them and then unwrapped their hands as we played “The Prayer”.

Asheton’s main music requests were “Over the Rainbow” and “Game of Thrones” which we played during prelude and then again after toasts to begin the luncheon which was served in the house.  The trio of Susan Mullen, Gary Tussing and Linda Davis continued to play through the luncheon including songs for the various generations represented.  The little flower girl couldn’t resist dancing to “Let It Go” from the movie, Frozen.

The families were wonderful to us, treating us like royalty making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed…including lunch when we were finished.

Congratulations to Asheton and Aaron and from what the minister said about them, they are sure to have a long and wonderful life together!
