Wedding at the Parthenon 6/18/16

Meanwhile on June 18 across the river at the Parthenon Craig Duncan was leading a quartet for the nuptials of Hailee and Charles.  The wedding took place on the east side of the Parthenon where there is a nice view of the pond.  Hailee chose a mostly contemporary program that included “Concerning Hobbits”, “Harry’s Wondrous World” and “Game of Thrones” for the prelude.  Mothers and grandmothers were seated to the beautiful “The Prayer” while bridesmaids and groomsmen entered to a lovely Yiruma tune called “River Flows in You”.  Hailee entered on her father’s arm to the favorite “Canon in D”.

The rain wasn’t quite as bad on the west side of the river but the musicians still had to move to a more covered area just to be sure.  After the ceremony where the bride did not get soaked, the newlyweds recessed to “Brown Eyed Girl”.  Gee, I wonder if Hailee’s eyes really are brown.  I only saw her from a distance.

Congratulations to Hailee, Charles and their families.  Best wishes for a long and happy life together.
