Wedding at CJ’s Off the Square 5/25/13

I have to share the Dr. Seuss quote on the front of Jacque and Jonathan’s program…”We’re all a little weird and life’s a little weird.  And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”  That just about says it all as far as I’m concerned.

As far as the music goes the client is still always right.  The string trio brought mothers in to “Suburbs” by The Arcade, bridesmaids in to “I’ll Be Your Mirror” by Velvet Underground, Jacque to “Sun” by Jonsi and finally sent them, duly married, back down the aisle to the strains of “Home” by Ed Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.  The music choices worked really well especially the energetic and fun “Home” for the recessional.

Congratulations to Jacque and Jonathan and their families with wishes for a long and happy life together.

May 11 Nuptials at CJs

May 11 found us once again at Cjs Off the Square presiding over the music for Andrea and John.  And again we played interesting choices, bringing mothers in to “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, the men to Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979”, the bridesmaids to the Prelude from the Bach Cello Suite in G aka the Cello Song.  Andrea met her groom at the gazebo to the strains of the lovely “Canon in D”.

I had a moment of panic when the officiant pronounced them married long before I expected it and wasn’t quite ready.  Fortunately Amy was at hand and assured me it wasn’t time yet to launch into “Don’t Stop Believing”, which by the way, turned out to be a terrific recessional.

Congratulations of Andrea and John and their families!
